HOCKEY MOM, LABOR COUNCIL PRESIDENT, AND NUTRITIONAL ADVOCATE
My name is Samantha DeRiso, and I am running for Oneida County
Legislator – District 11.
Why? People. People are why.
I am a bridge builder between communities and am passionate about education, change, and awareness.
I care about our children and their education. I care that they have healthy food choices at school. I care that their schools get the funding they deserve and need.
I will fight for that funding. I will fight for our communities. I will fight for our health.
Our economic health, our community’s health, and our youth’s nutritional health.
Over 30 years of research has shown that by electing more women in to office it will change how the government works. Women sponsor more bills, pass more laws, and collaborate in a bipartisan manner. Women prioritize. We work efficiently with others to reach a consensus faster.
It’s my long-term vision to asses our community’s needs and make sure they are addressed.
I am young, energetic, and I plan to serve district 11 for a long time. I want to be here to see the work we put into motion through to the end.
I am a mother, leader, and friend. I am a hockey mom, schnoodle mom, wife, and nutritional advocate.
My family is my rock and they push me to the best I can be day in and day out. I have led public rallies and public education platforms. I have served on community taskforces and I am a labor leader.
Most importantly I want to be here to represent you and your family and fight for what our communities need.
